The college is established in 2005 with an aim to achieve high ideals for future teachers.It is one among the colleges of teacher education started under self-financing scheme during 2005 and is affiliated to Bharathiyar University.

The college is run by Kovai Medical Center Research & Educational Trust. Dr.Nalla G.Palaniswami, basically a medical doctor is the chairman. Dr.Thavamani D.Palaniswami is the secretary. This management is making lasting contribution in the field of professional education. In order to inculcate the values in teacher in the present day set up. This management performs well in an efficient manner. It has excellent infrastructure with spacious building with maximum facilities. It has a well-equipped library, laboratories in sciences, Computer, Educational technology , Psychology , language and work experience . There are well-furnished classrooms, multipurpose hall and other amenities. These are showing the attitude and interest of the management revealing the commitment of this trust towards the teaching profession.
